TUMI’s Women Mobilize Women (WMW) initiative advocates for women to be at the centre of a just mobility transition. WMW removes the daily mobility barriers through leveraging upon strong feminist development policy to be the leading global initiative for women in mobility. We work with transport users and workers to improve access to and the experience of mobility to protect their livelihood and increase the presence of women in the transport sector. The all-female networking event will bring together women working on the sustainable mobility transition from all over the world. It will create a platform for networking, exchange and mutual empowerment. A maximum of 45 participants will be invited to join the event just before the start of the TUMI conference. This will enable building connections and exchanging ideas that can further be expanded on throughout the rest of the day. Melissa Bruntlett, author of ‘Curbing Traffic’, will provide an input on a feminist perspective on the 15-minute city concept, which will serve as a thought-provoking impulse and conversation starter.
