Panel 1: Critical need to build the capacity of road safety professionals to enable effective ‘safe system’ based road safety programmes. 

Panel 2: Session 2: Non-state actors, their shared responsibility in the implementation of the Global Plan.

The first part of this session will explore what is being done to build the capacity of road safety professionals in understanding how to implement the ‘safe system’, how to measure road safety capacity and how research will assist in improving road safety programme delivery and performance. The second part of this session will explain the essential role of non-state actors. in the implementation of the Global Plan.
