Title

Are we ready: Benchmarks for inclusive and sustainable urban mobility

World Economic Forum’s Global New Mobility Coalition

Official Side Event

18 May
16:15 to 17:45
Hall 4, Level +1

We must accelerate the transition to an urban mobility ecosystem that has 1.6 fewer cars, 3,900 less Mt CO2, takes 75% less public space, costs 40% less to use, and enable a better integrated affordable and just mobility ecosystem. Context-based approaches are crucial to driving the transition to shared and decarbonized urban mobility for everyone, in an inclusive manner.

How might we account for nuanced transition pathways while also referencing comparative benchmarks and best practices as cities and mobility operators work to meet their decarbonisation targets? This workshop will support the development of benchmarking and tracking scorecards as part of the Global New Mobility Coalition’s Urban Mobility Scorecards Initiative. Participants will hear from mobility leaders and share learning to hone and validate the scorecard components.
